Workplace haiku

Here’s some haiku inspired by working between Christmas and New Years when many colleagues are on leave, or calling in sick. 😉

Sick Leave?
Calling in cozy
Hot tea, fireplace, good book
Can’t come in today

Understaffed
Alone all is still
Dread the ring which brings bad news
Who’s not coming in?

Who’s in Charge?
Wait in fear and hope
Tasks I cannot bear alone
Reprieve! She is here

I worked last week and can testify to the accuracy of these haikus. 🙂
